When a tyre is not what is wrong
Most nights this is the second question rather than the first. A wheel that will not turn, a rim folded past the point where new rubber would help, or a car stopped somewhere on the A25 that cannot be worked on safely. At that point the tyre van is the wrong tool and we say so out loud. You name where it should end up, and that is where it goes.

- Destination settled first, so nothing is being decided in a car park at two in the morning
- Lanes out towards Penshurst and Ightham get talked through before the vehicle is chosen
- Where a tyre would genuinely have solved it, you get that option and the smaller bill

Can you take it somewhere just outside your ground?
Sometimes. It is a conversation rather than an automatic yes, and it depends on the night. What you will not get is a long tow sold to you that somebody closer should be doing.
It has to go to my own garage and they are shut.
That is the usual case at this hour. Most garages are content for a car to be left on their forecourt overnight once you have told them. Give us the name and the district code and we arrange the drop.
